Changes to walking routes

22 March 2013

Supporters will have been aware for some time that the former Bantams Business Centre has been sold and will shortly become the premises of the new One-in-a-Million free school.

Work on the interior of the building has been ongoing for some time and work on the exterior of the school is about to start.  As a result, the Thorncliffe Road (Carlsberg) car park is no longer available to the Club on match days.

The purpose of this message is to highlight the changes this will have on supporters approaching the stadium on foot.  With effect from Saturday’s home game against Bristol Rovers, supporters will no longer be able to walk across the car park to gain access to the ticket office, the North Stand Kop or as a route towards the West Stand.

Any supporters approaching the stadium from Midland Road will need to continue along Thorncliffe Road, turn left into Cliffe Terrace and approach the stadium from that direction.  Anyone needing the ticket office or the North Stand Kop will need to walk down the steps between the old Club shop and the 1911 entrance.  Supporters using the North Stand Kop are reminded that turnstiles giving access to that stand can also be found on Midland Road (turnstile N9-N14).

Extra stewards will be on hand to help with any queries that supporters may have at this game and the home versus Southend United on Good Friday.  These stewards will also offer assistance to any supporters using wheelchairs who need to access these areas.

The Club hopes that these essential changes will not cause supporters any inconvenience and it will be pleased to receive feedback after the game if any problems are encountered.
