City will find out their first match of the 2013/2014 campaign next Monday (17 June 2013) when the draw for the first round of the Capital One Cup takes place.
The full list of the Capital One Cup Round One draw will be published on Monday morning from 9:30am.
The Bantams, who famously made it all the way through to the final in last season's competition, will be placed into the hat for the first round draw alongside 69 other Football League clubs.
The draw will be seeded based on last season's league tables. Championship clubs and those sides who finished in the top half of the League 1 table will be seeded.
The bottom half of last season's League 1 table and League 2 teams will be unseeded, meaning Phil Parkinson's men will go into the draw certain of facing a seeded side.
The draw will also be regionalised.
The two highest-placed relegated clubs from last season's Premier League will skip the first round stage. Reading will come in at round two and Wigan Athletic, who will feature in Europe for the first time in their history, will enter at round three.
All round 1 ties are scheduled to take place during the week commencing 5th August - the week after City's League 1 opening fixture.
