Dukey says thanks

25 June 2013

Departing City goalkeeper Matt Duke was keen to pass on his gratitude to all areas of the club before setting off to begin his new life as a Northampton Town player.

Duke, who will officially join the Cobblers when his current City contract expires on Monday, came into the Coral Windows Stadium today (Tuesday) for one last time as a Bradford player to say his goodbyes to a number of staff members around the club.

Before leaving Valley Parade, however, Duke also made sure he took the time to pass on some thank yous as well.

The outgoing 'keeper said: "I am really looking to my time at Northampton but I can't leave here without saying 'thanks' to a whole lot of people.

"I'd firstly really like to thank the fans for their tremendous support, especially during the amazing events of last season. They have been brilliant to me - Bradford is a great club with a great fanbase.

"I'd like to thank the management team and coaching staff for their help over the two seasons I've been at Bradford, as well as all the backroom staff behind the scenes at the club.

"The lads have also been different class with me during my time at the club. The atmosphere in the dressing room last season was brilliant and I am sure the lads have it within themselves to kick on again next season."

As mentioned before, the club would like to sincerely thank Matt for all of his efforts during his spell as a City player and wish him nothing but the best for the future.

For one last time....... DDUUUUUUKKKKKKEEEEEE!
