City's preparations for life in League 1 moved up a notch this Monday as Phil Parkinson's Bantams made a return to the club's training ground for their first day of pre-season training.
Wearing their brand new blue Nike training attire, Parkinson's men were put through their paces at Apperley Bridge today on their first official day back at work since clinching promotion in May's League 2 Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium.
Assistant manager Steve Parkin and the club's Head of Sports Science, Nick Allamby, were on hand to oversee day one of City's pre-season programme, leaving Bantams boss Parkinson free to continue working away on potential transfer dealings.
Fresh from penning their first professional contracts, first year pros Scott Brown and Louie Swain took their places among Parkinson's squad, while long-term injury victim Luke Oliver was also able to take part in most of the day's activities as the club continue to monitor his recover from achilles and hip problems.
City's first pre-season friendly of the summer is scheduled for Saturday 13 July (3:00pm) at Guiseley AFC's Nethermoor ground.
