Hines departs

1 July 2013

City winger Zavon Hines has left the Coral Windows Stadium after Bantams boss Phil Parkinson confirmed that he had decided not to offer the twenty-four year-old a new contract at the football club.

Hines' contract with City officially expired this Monday, meaning the former West Ham United attacker will leave the club with immediate effect.

Hines, who would go onto make 41 appearances and score two goals during the 2012/2013 season, signed for City last August following his release from Championship side Burnley.

Parkinson said: "Zav did well for us last season, and we must thank him for his contribution, but he needs to go somewhere he is going to play regular first-team football."

The club would like to sincere thank Zavon for all of his efforts during his time with City last season and wish him all the best in his future career.
