City's npower League 2 fixture with Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday (26 January 2013) has now been POSTPONED following a Friday morning pitch inspection of the Coral Windows Stadium playing surface.
Freezing temperatures of recent nights - including around minus seven last (Thursday) night - have unfortunately resulted in the pitch being deemed too hard in places to play on by the inspecting local match official.
The pitch itself is still also covered by a few inches of snow.
The less-than-promising weather forecast for the next twenty-four hours or so - more snow being predicted for Friday afternoon/evening - and the desire to give opponents Wycombe a sensible answer ahead of their scheduled trip north today also contributed to the decision to postpone the game.
