Snow helpers needed

24 January 2013

The club is currently doing everything possible to make sure this Saturday’s npower League 2 match against Wycombe Wanderers goes ahead.

Following Tuesday’s dramatic success in reaching the final of the Capital One Cup at Wembley, the Club is keen for players to be seen again by the home fans, particularly those that were unable to travel to Villa Park, as soon as possible.

At present, a blanket of thick snow is protecting the pitch and the snow is being left to combat the very low temperatures being forecasted for Thursday night.

To make sure the game can go ahead the Club may need the help of fans - armed with snow shovels - to remove the blanket of snow.

This will need to be done on Saturday morning and if we need the help of our fantastic fans once again. Full details will be given on the website on Friday afternoon should the pitch pass the planned pitch inspection.
