Reid up for 'Ultimate Finish'

The Bantams' Kyel Reid is in contention for glory in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s latest ‘Ultimate Finish’ competition.


Reid’s strike during his side’s Northern Area Semi-Final defeat to Crewe Alexandra is one of five goals short-listed from the four ties staged in January.


Bradford supporters can now aid Reid's victory push by taking part in the public vote which will decide who joins Portsmouth’s Brian Howard, Joel Grant of Wycombe Wanderers and Southend United’s Kevan Hurst as winners of this season’s coveted award.

Fans can watch an exclusive video of each of the fantastic finishes, and vote for their favourite effort, on the official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy website.

The five nominated goals from the Area Semi-Finals are:

GOAL A: Barry Corr for SOUTHEND UNITED v Oxford United.

GOAL B: Sean Rigg for OXFORD UNITED v Southend United.

GOAL C: Kyel Reid for BRADFORD CITY v Crewe Alexandra.

GOAL D: Max Clayton for CREWE ALEXANDRA v Bradford City.

GOAL E: Chuks Aneke for CREWE ALEXANDRA v Bradford City.

“The standard of goal in every round of the ‘Ultimate Finish’ in this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has been very high and the Area Semi-Finals have been no different,” said Ben Wilde, Johnstone’s Trade Brand & Sponsorship Manager: “It’s going to be a very difficult choice for supporters to make but I’m sure they will enjoy watching the five great goals and making their selection.”

The winning goal will be announced on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy website, and all fans that vote for the successful strike will be entered into a special prize draw.

The winning goalscorer will be presented with the Johnstone’s Paint Ultimate Finish Award and one lucky fan who voted for the successful strike will win an iPod Nano.

At the culmination of this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, supporters will then have the opportunity to vote for the ‘Ultimate Finish of the Season’.

The winning goalscorer will be presented with the ‘Johnstone’s Paint Ultimate Finish of the Season Award’, while one lucky entrant will win a fantastic Sony Playstation 3 console with latest Fifa game.
