City defender Carl McHugh has been rewarded for his recent impressive form for the club with a call up to the Republic of Ireland Under 21s squad for their forthcoming friendly with the Netherlands.
The match with Holland will take place on Wednesday 6 February 2013.
Should he feature against the Dutch, McHugh will win his first cap at Under 21 international for Eire after previously representing his country at Under 19s and Under 17s level.
Following his summer move to the Coral Windows Stadium, McHugh has moved from the outer edges of City's squad to become one of the more regular members of Phil Parkinson's starting eleven in recent weeks.
The nineteen year-old has featured eighteen times for Parkinson's squad this season, playing a major part in the Bantams' recent incredible run to the Capital One Cup Final.
