Dickson joins on loan

11 January 2013

On the eve of City's npower League 2 fixture with Oxford United this Saturday, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has bolstered his defensive ranks with the signing of Southampton left back Ryan Dickson on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Dickson arrived at the Coral Windows Stadium this Friday to sign the necessary paperwork before training with his new team-mates for the first time.

Subject to receiving the relevant clearances, Dickson will now be in contention to make his City debut against Oxford tomorrow afternoon.

The 26 year-old will wear squad number 15 during his time at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Following Ross Hannah's departure from Valley Parade yesterday, it has also been confirmed that fellow recent signing Andy Gray will now wear the number 10 shirt for the Bantams.

Dickson, like Gray, will be free to play for City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Unlike Gray, however, Dickson will be allowed to play in the Capital One Cup competition for City as well.

Dickson, who started his career with local club Plymouth Argyle back in 2005, has also featured for Torquay United and Brentford before his move to Southampton back in 2010.
