City begin Tenerife trip

28 January 2013

Phil Parkinson's Bantams arrived safely in Tenerife this Sunday to begin their short stay on the island.

Parkinson's squad are taking advantage of a rare period in this season of having no midweek fixture to prepare for to get some warm weather training in ahead of next Saturday's trip to Fleetwood Town in npower League 2.

The Bantams squad will be using the impressive facilities at the Athletic Sphere on the south of the island during their stay there.

The Athletic Sphere boasts a full-sized, fully maintained grass pitch, a FIFA-improved artificial pitch and even a specialised pitch just to enable the goalkeepers to go through their warm up drills.

The facility, which has been used by the likes of Hull City, Everton and Manchester City in the past, also has an Olympic sized swimming pool, three tennis courts and a world class gymnasium and spa/steam room.
