Wells wants to keep winning feeling

20 September 2012

City striker Nahki Wells says the Bantams are hoping to carry their recent good home form into this Saturday's away fixture at Oxford United.

Phil Parkinson's men currently sit fifth in League 2 having won back-to-back matches at HQ against Barnet and Morecambe this week - making it four wins out of four at Valley Parade this season in the process.

After impressive victories on the road at Notts County and Watford in the Capital One Cup, Wells admits Parkinson's side are keen to get their first away league win of the season at Oxford this weekend.

Wells told Bantams Player: "We went into those two games (Notts County and Watford) playing with a freedom and we were able to show our top form away from home on those occasions.

"It hasn't quite worked out as well so far in the league (away from home) but it's still early days and we got a good point at Accrington in our last away match.

"Hopefully we can build on that this weekend. Another point at Oxford wouldn't be the worst result but we would like to go there and get the win.

"The sooner we can get their first away win, the quicker we can show people that we're not just a good home team, we're a good team in general."
