It looks all systems go for the Bantams tonight for their Capital One Cup Third Round tie with Burton Albion as the Valley Parade pitch continues to repel the current wet weather.
Club officials have checked the state of the pitch at regular intervals throughout today, including using a club match-ball to check that the roll of the ball will not be hampered by any potential wet batches.
All checks throughout the day have concluded with a positive outcome, with no standing water or particularly damp areas being reported on the playing surface as of 3:00pm this afternoon.
There remains no plans for a pitch inspection at this point and opponents Burton have set off for their journey to Bradford as planned.
The current pleasing state of the pitch would appear to be thanks to the hard work of the club's ground-staff throughout the summer months and the first few weeks of the new campaign.
Planned pitch work was concluded during the close-season with further action, including subjecting the pitch to a process called verti-draining, also taking place after the club noticed slight imperfections with the playing surface during the first two home matches against Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon.
At the moment the club sees no reason why tonight's tie shouldn't take place.
The club will, of course, update fans in the unlikely event that circumstances do change, however.
Tonight's tie is scheduled for a 7:45pm kick off time.
There will be NO advance sales for this match. Please pay on the turnstiles tonight.
