Looking at the options

17 September 2012

City boss Phil Parkinson hasn't ruled out the possibility of making one or two minor changes to his starting eleven for Morecambe's visit this Tuesday, despite seeing his side secure a third straight home win at the weekend.

With a number of strong contenders knocking at the door to make the jump up from City's bench, plus the prospect of a tough encounter against a side unbeaten away from home this season on the horizon, Parkinson says he does have some things to mull over.

Whatever City's starting eleven for tomorrow night, however, the Bantams boss certainly acknowledges that he now has to start considering some player rotation into the equation with as many as seven games in twenty-two days coming up.

Parkinson commented: "We know we have a lot of Tuesday games coming up and that we'll have to utilise the whole of our squad to its maximum. We are looking a one or two different options (for the Morecambe game). But as always though, we will keep our exact team selection close to our chest.

"One for is for sure, however, we have said to the lads not quite involved at the moment that they are going to be needed during this busy period of games we have coming up.

"Given that, it's important that they keep training properly and stay prepared, which is what they all have been doing. That gives them the best possible chance to put in a performance if and when they do get in the team."
