Alan Connell spoke to Bantams Player directly after netting his first ever goal for the Bantams to earn Phil Parkinson's men a share of the spoils at Accrington Stanley this Saturday.
Coming only six minutes after replacing Nathan Doyle, City's substitute striker superbly lobbed Accrington 'keeper Ian Dunbavin with a brilliant first time effort from outside the area to secure the Bantams' first away point of the season.
Connell said:"It's nice that the goal meant something - it got us our first point away from home - so I'm obviously pleased. I would have loved to have gone on and got another one to get us the win that I felt we deserved, but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
"I scored a similar goal a couple of years ago. As soon as I gambled off Hans' (James Hanson) flick, it just sat up nicely and I knew I just had to guide it over the 'keeper's head to score.
"Thankfully it went in, and it was nice to do it in front of our supporters. To be honest, I didn't even see the ball go in!
"It was a weird feeling, I just knew it was in.
"I can't really describe it, I just knew it was going in and the crowd's reaction just confirmed it for me as I went off to celebrate."
