.Ritchie Jones has been given his first action of the season by Phil Parkinson as part of five changes made by the Bantams boss for City's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Hartlepool United
Jones will make up a three-man midfield with Will Atkinson and skipper Ricky Ravenhill after replacing Nathan Doyle in City's starting line up from Saturday's trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
Stephen Darby and Carl McHugh have been brought in at right back and left back respectively for James Meredith and Luke Oliver, who jarred his hip at Dagenham.
Darby's introduction allows Rory McArdle to move into central defence alongside Andrew Davies.
After the set-up showed great promise in the second period of Saturday's encounter with the Daggers, Alan Connell will again be positioned behind the front two. James Hanson continues in attack, but this time he is joined up front by Garry Thompson.
The aforementioned Meredith and Doyle, plus Zavon Hines and Nahki Wells, are all on the bench after starting at the weekend.
