Bradford City is delighted to announce the formation of its new Supporters Board - the first of its kind in the Football League.

The new board will provide a regular channel of communication and consultation in both directions between the Club and its fan/community base. It is designed to be inclusive and to represent the full demographic range of the Club’s support base, to whom it is accountable. The Supporters’ Board may discuss the actions of the Bradford City Board of Directors, challenging them where necessary. The Supporters Board is chaired by David Baldwin, City’s Director of Operations.

The Supporters Board has 21 members, drawn from supporters groups and individuals selected by the Club after a process of public application.  The Board will discuss a broad range of financial and marketing initiatives, kit selection, player appearances and supporters events. It will provide a primary link between the Club and supporters on issues relating to the match-day experience, and a communications link for match arrangements and other topical news.  A special group within the Supporters Board will concentrate on the development of the Club’s links with the community in Bradford and with local organizations.  Supporters Board members will act in a voluntary capacity to strengthen the Club and assist its development.

David Baldwin said “It’s a fantastic opportunity to have open two-way communication between the fans and the club with us all pulling in the same direction for the long term future of the club”.

Alan Carling, Chair of Bradford City Supporters Trust, has welcomed the creation of a Supporters Board: “This is an excellent development. It brings together supporters organizations and volunteer fans with a wide range of skills to strengthen the relationship between the club and its supporters. David Baldwin and his fellow Directors deserve congratulations for this initiative. I hope it will lead to success off the pitch to match the success on the pitch we’ve seen from Phil Parkinson and his team so far this season”.
