John Egan is handed his debut by Bantams boss Phil Parkinson as the City chief makes four changes to his side from the eleven that started in the F.A Cup at Northampton Town at the weekend.
Egan will start the game in central defence alongside the recalled Rory McArdle, meaning Nathan Doyle is allowed to return back to his usual central midfield role next to skipper Gary Jones.
Nahki Wells has also been brought back into the side to partner Garry Thompson in attack, with Zavon Hines selected once again as well on City's right flank.
After impressive performances in both of the Bantams' recent cup ties, Matt Duke keeps hold of his place in goal at the expense of Jon McLaughlin, who started City's last league match at Burton Albion.
McLaughlin will join Alan Connell, Carl McHugh, Ritchie Jones and Scott Brown, all of whom started at Northampton three days ago, on City's substitutes bench.
Craig Forsyth will also be among Parkinson's options from the bench after being ineligible to play in the Bantams' cup double-header last week.
There no place in Parkinson's match-day squad for James Hanson, however, who unfortunately has yet to fully recover from a recent virus.
