.A first half double from Nahki Wells helped City on their way to a comfortable victory at Aldershot Town

In control for almost all of the contest, City third away victory of the season puts Phil Parkinson's side up to fourth in League 2 - only four points off second place.

Wells' first of the match came with just under half an hour of the match gone when the Bermudian pounced on a loose piece of play from Sonny Bradley to race clear and slot past Jamie Young.

The forward picked up his second of the afternoon - his twelfth of the season altogether - came eleven minutes later when he followed up a James Hanson shot to tap home the rebound from close range.

Aldershot's only truly threatening moment of the half had come in between Wells' strikes when Stephen Darby cleared a Danny Hylton strike off the line after Matt Duke had failed to properly deal with a Danny Rose corner.

Armed with a two-goal half-time cushion in their pockets, City did a fine professional job of taking the sting out of the game after the restart and denying the hosts any opportunity to build up a head of steam.

Hylton and Shots substitute Michael Rankine briefly threatened with second period headers, but City had the best opportunity of the half to trouble the scorers again when Wells' acrobatic overhead kick from around eight yards out hit the post.

37min: Wells find himself in a good shooting position deep inside City's area after robbing Ben Herd of the ball. Positioned near Young's near post, Wells tries to dink the ball over the 'keeper as he dives out at his feet but the striker's angled effort bounces wide.

11min: A good flick-on from James Hanson finds Will Atkinson in shooting space on the very edge of Aldershot's area. The midfielder can't quite get his shot away properly, however, and Aldershot are awarded a free-kick for an offside decision seconds later.

2min: Nahki Wells strikes for goal from around the edge of the area but his curling effort lacks the pace and placement to trouble Jamie Young, who gathers easily.

0min: The Bantams kick off the match. They will attack up the slope here at the EBB Stadium in the first half.

3:00pm: The EBB Stadium falls silent for a minute to pay their respects to the fallen this Remembrance weekend.
