'Magic' opening day of sales!

27 December 2012

The Coral Windows Stadium was buzzing with activity and excitement this Thursday morning as City began to sell tickets for their forthcoming Capital One Semi-Final ties against Aston Villa.

In front of hundreds of queuing supporters, Bradford-born magician Steven Frayne - best known as 'Dynamo' - was on hand to make a surprise special guest appearance to entertain the large number of City followers gathered.

Dynamo was joined by City legends Peter Beagrie and Wayne Jacobs, plus current Bantams winger Kyel Reid, to give excited fans plenty to occupy themselves with as they made up part of the long queue trickling down past the Bantams Ticket Office.

With the Capital One Cup trophy itself also on display for supporters to take a closer look at, there was certainly a special vibe around the stadium as fans eagerly snapped up tickets for City's first-ever last-four appearance in the competition.

Competition sponsors - Capitial One - got in on the act as well by kindly supplying free cups of tea and bacon butties to the fans who braved the elements to pick up tickets for the eagerly-anticipated matches.

A number of national and local news agencies, including Sky Sports, were on hand to capture the memorable scenes at Valley Parade as Dynamo, Jacobs, Beagrie and Reid posed for pictures with fans and the trophy.

Probably the best moment of the morning was Dynamo bamboozling the gathered crowd, including Beagrie, with some of his trademark card tricks!
