.It’s tradition around the Christmas period for Supporter Groups of Bradford City to raise funds for the Bradford Burns Unit. This has taken the form of bucket collections and in recent years the sale of Santa hats
With the visit of Arsenal to the Coral Windows Stadium on Tuesday 11December, the last home game before Christmas, the distribution of ‘red and white’ hats to home supporters didn’t seem appropriate.
Friends of Bradford City contacted the London club to see if the hats could be distributed to the away supporters once inside the ground and Sue Campbell – Head of Travel, Events and Supporter Liaison at Arsenal kindly agreed to the idea on behalf of the Gunners.
So, in return of the supply of over 1000 Santa Hats, which will be free of charge to the visiting supporters, Arsenal FC will be making a £1,000 donation to the Bradford Burns Unit.
Friends of BCFC and Bantamstrek - a club charity set up by City kit man Graham Duckworth - and Bradford City Football Club would like to thank Arsenal FC for their kind support and generous donation.
