City face a trip to Crewe Alexandra in the new year after being drawn away to the Railwaymen in this Saturday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Semi-Finals draw.
Phil Parkinson's men are due to take on the League 1 side on the week commencing 7 January 2013, most likely in a month's time on Tuesday 8 January.
The Bantams are the final League 2 team still in the Northern Section of the competition, with Coventry City being pitted against either Bury or Preston North End in the other Area Semi-Final.
