With Andrew Davies and Will Atkinson having already featured for the Bantams last season, McArdle is one of City's nine other summer recruits who has a realistic chance of making his competitive bow at Valley Parade at some point against Fleetwood.
"I've played at Valley Parade as an away player in the past and you know that you are always going to play in front of good crowd when you do,"McArdle said.
"I am quite fortunate now to be in a position where that massive crowd is on my side now that I am a Bradford player.
"Hopefully we can get off to a great start at home and we can get a nice positive feeling around the stands."
