Keeping things fresh

20 August 2012

City boss Phil Parkinson has revealed he will most probably be making changes to his starting line up for this Tuesday's first home game of the season against Fleetwood Town.

A combination of his players' exertions in the heat at Gillingham last weekend and the growing number of options available to him within his squad mean Parkinson is most likely to freshen things up for Fleetwood's visit.

"It was an incredibly hot day on Saturday, even simply for the staff standing on the touchline," said Parkinson.

"It was a draining day due to the conditions, so we know that it has taken a lot out of certain players.

"We now have some thinking to do ahead of tomorrow night to make sure we pick a team that is fresh enough and has the right balance to it to go again."
