Bradford City snapped up young prospect James Hanson in July 2009, after a successful trial with the club.
The giant forward joined the Bantams from Unibond Premier League side Guiseley for an undisclosed fee.
Hanson had been at Guiseley for two seasons, in which he finished as the club's top scorer in each campaign.
He first came to the attention of the Bantams management when he put in an impressive display against City for Guiseley during a pre-season fixture between the two clubs at Guiseley's Nethermoor ground in July 2008.
As a youngster, Hanson took his first footballing steps with local rivals Huddersfield Town, where he was unfortunately released at 15.
The next port of call for Hanson was at Northern Counties East League side Eccleshill United.
Hanson's form at Eccleshill was impressive and it wasn't too long before he made the move to Nethermoor.
After making his full league debut for the club during the Bantams first home match of the season against Port Vale, Hanson hasn't looked back as he has become an integral of the squad.
He scored his first goal in professional football during City's hectic 5-4 victory at Cheltenham, Hanson then raced to the top of the Bantams scoring charts by late November to fully establish his place at heart of McCall's plans.
The giant striker offers superb aerial service to his fellow attackers and is renowned for working tirelessly in forwards areas to hassle and harry opposition defenders.
