Luke Sharry made one appearance in City's first team during the 2008-09 season, replacing Dean Furman in the last minute of the club's final fixture of the season at Chesterfield.

The young midfielder's first start in Bradford colours came during the Bantams Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Quarter Final tie with Port Vale in November 2009.
