City Director Roger Owen and his wife Lena have stepped in to rescue a failed sponsorship deal for the football club.
For all home match days this season, the Bantams playing squad will arrive at the Coral Windows Stadium dressed in club suits - thanks to Mr & Mrs Owen.
Owen said: "When Peter Taylor joined us earlier in the year he set out a number of requirements".
"Peter is very strong on good standards and discipline and one of the items he was keen to improve was the appearance of the squad on match days.
"All the Board have been or are involved in business at a high level and were in full agreement with Peter`s sentiments.
"Peter asked that on match days the players were kitted out in suits, white shirts and club ties.
"He himself has set the tone for this up to the end of last season and again now".
The task of arranging a number of suits for the players and staff appeared a simple enough one to start with, but a late change of plan forced Roger and Lena into action.
"I approached three national retailers and up to three weeks ago we had a deal with one which was almost complete but they failed to deliver in time for the new season" said City's Commercial Director.
"In order not to let down Peter`s required standards, my wife Lena suggested that we step in.
"It has led to a hectic period of obtaining suits to fit players and staff ranging in size from Luke Oliver to Mark Harrison and complicated by further new signings.
"But we have made it and hope that the result will be a credit to the club and give the lads a lift".
Owen is now hoping that more local businesses can hopefully help the football club with similar issues in the future.
Owen remarked "In my old business, management led from the front".
"I hope that this gesture will convince other businesses and individuals to join the growing band who have donated to the cost of medical equipment, pitch refurbishment, car park lining and energy saving measures.
"Anyone interested in joining the fight to reduce cost and make more available to the team on the pitch can contact me at the football club".
