Bradford City can confirm that the football club have exercised the option to extend the contracts of Simon Ramsden and Steve Williams for a further season.

The pair joined the Bantams over the course of last summer on one year deals. Both contracts, however, had written in the option for the football club to extend the deals by a further year if they wished to do so.

Peter Taylor confirmed last week his desire to activate this option, meaning the defensive duo will remain at the Coral Windows Stadium for the start of the 2010/2011 season.

Williams has been in fine form in recent weeks under Taylor, helping City claim three clean sheets out of the last five matches, as the Bantams made a strong finish to the season.

Ramsden made his successful return to the Bantams line up last Saturday at Crewe following a spell on the sidelines with a calf problem.
