Kearney suffers broken leg

Posted on: Thu 11 Mar 2010

Bradford City Football Club were saddened to hear that former player Tom Kearney suffered a broken leg on Tuesday night.

Kearney received a break of the tibula and fibula in his right leg during Altrincham Town's Blue Square Premier match against Wrexham.

The midfielder underwent successful surgery immediately after the match and will now start on his long road back to full fitness.

Sadly, long term injuries are nothing new for the former Everton trainee after suffering serious knee problems twice during his time with the Bantams.

The 28 year enjoyed four years at Valley Parade between 2002 and 2006, but now skippers Altrincham at Blue Square Premier level.

Everyone at Bradford City Football Club would like to wish Tom a swift and full recovery from his injury.
