Stuart McCall slams boo-boys
Stuart McCall slammed the Valley Parade boo boys who jeered Barry Conlon.
The City boss was furious that Conlon was booed by a section of the home crowd as he came off the bench in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Luton Town.
"It's ridiculous and I'm really disappointed," said McCall while talking to the Telegraph & Argus. "Baz has got a Bradford City shirt on and he's our player.
"What sort of support is that? It doesn't achieve anything.
"I've always hated that sort of thing since I was a kid and I saw Terry Yorath get it at Leeds. They are playing for your team and you support them as much as you can.
"To boo someone before they've even been on the pitch is absolutely scandalous. That hurt me more than anything."
Conlon scored with his first touch to put City ahead and McCall apologised to Luton boss Mick Harford for over-celebrating on the touchline. He added: "I've probably never celebrated a goal so much in my life.
"If it had been anyone else scoring, I wouldn't have done but it was because of those people booing.

"I said that to Mick afterwards and he understood.
"Baz suffered a dip in confidence a couple of weeks ago and that was on the back of scoring against Leeds and getting five in the reserves. I just wish we could have held on and he would have been the real hero."
Luton defender Michael Spillane denied City a victory late on after his error had gifted Conlon his first league goal since March. City had to play the last 17 minutes with ten men after Paul Hecking-bottom was sent off.
Conlon said: "I have been waiting for a chance like that to drop for me for a long time. It's not been happening up to now and I'll take them all day.
"I don't really understand the boos and at first I wasn't sure what was going on. But it's not going to bother me and it was nice to hear some fans were singing my name as well just after I came on."
