I'd like to start by welcoming Gary Simpson and his staff from Macclesfield Town to the Coral Windows Stadium.
It will be a little bit strange looking across the dug-out this afternoon and not seeing Keith Alexander there. Every time I think of Macclesfield or Lincoln
I think of Keith and the hard work he put in as manager for both clubs.
Everybody said such nice things about Keith and he really was a top fella but sadly we have to move on.
Because of the loss of a very popular manager, it will have tested the Macclesfield players through this difficult time.
But they know that Keith would have wanted them to be very professional and it's obvious with their results that's how the staff have kept it.
Because of Easter deadlines, I'm writing these notes before the Bournemouth game so hopefully we will have come back from the south coast with something.
I'm sure anybody who was here last Saturday for the Dagenham match will have had a very enjoyable afternoon - if at times a frustrating one.
With two attacking teams and six goals I'm sure it was a good game to watch.
For me, I was amazed how all of a sudden we conceded three times. I feel we've been progressing and we've looked a little bit more solid as a team. But then suddenly we let in three.
The pleasing thing, though, was that we also looked likely to score more. We created plenty of chances, especially in the first half, but just lacked that end product.
But I'm sure the fans will have enjoyed the football that we played. I believe we are heading in the right direction.
In that week we played Notts County and Dagenham & Redbridge, two teams well up there in the table, and we looked as though we could have got six points.
Enjoy the game
