I'd like to start by welcoming John Still and his staff from Dagenham & Redbridge to the Coral Windows Stadium.
John and I are really close friends and his assistant Terry Harris was my assistant when I first started as a manager with four years at Dartford and then another one with Enfield.
John is a real football man and different class as a manager. He can spot a player and his contacts in the game are second to none.
Dagenham & Redbridge will always be a very strong team while John is there.
They are a dangerous side to play against. John always produces good players but unfortunately he has to sell some of the best ones at times.
I know he hasn't been top drawer lately but I'm sure he will be here today and no doubt getting better.
I'm sure I will be speaking to John and Terry afterwards and look forward to sharing a glass with them.
When I was out of work, the two fellas were always on the phone encouraging me to come and watch Dagenham games with them and I really appreciated that support.
Dagenham & Redbridge are always a goal threat so we know today is going to be another massive test for us.
It was the same on Tuesday when we played Notts County and I couldn't have been more pleased with the performance. We were up against a very good team and came through with flying colours.
Hopefully people enjoyed the performance as much as I did.
I decided to rest Matt Clarke for that game because I want to have a look at different people. I've got a squad of players and I will rest them for certain games.
That's the job. If you are playing the same ones every week, you cannot see what some of the others can do.
Mark McCammon's loan ran out yesterday and he has returned to Gillingham.
I really want to thank him for coming here and I'm sure his arrival definitely helped James Hanson.
Enjoy the game
