Youth Philosophy

Posted on: Tue 14 Feb 2012

Our long-term aim within the Bradford City Youth Department is to continuously produce elite footballers in an environment that is safe and secure, however at the same time, challenging to the players needs.

We recognise that the success of the Centre of Excellence is a partnership between the player, parent and staff, with all parties playing an active role to support the player in achieving his goals.

We will endeavour to develop young people who will go on to be a credit to themselves, their families and Bradford City football club.

Over the years the centre of excellence has helped in the development of Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Andre Wisdom (Liverpool), Luke Hendrie (Manchester United), Callum Pilkington (Liverpool), Niall Heaton (Liverpool), George Green (Everton)

At Bradford City we strongly believe in the development of the individual and consider this more important than results at schoolboy level.

We continue to strive to improve all elements of the Centre of Excellence programme and demand that players registered in our programme do the same.
