Bobby Ham has the distinction of having spent three separate spells with both Bradford City and Bradford (Park Avenue).  In his 14-year career he scored 156 League goals in 460 appearances.

He joined the groundstaff at Park Avenue when he was 15 and after just three months in their 'A' team he moved on to Huddersfield Town and then on to Bradford City.

In October 1961 he rejoined our then-neighbours, his League debut coming the following March against Hull City.

His career was interrupted to recover from a groin injury. He joined Gainsborough Trinity on a part-time basis before becoming player-coach at Grimsby Town. He returned to Park Avenue and in the 1965/66 season he enjoyed his best campaign scoring 24 goals.

In February 1968, Bradford City paid £2,750 for his skills. He moved on to Preston North End in October 1970 for a fee of £8,000 having played in 109 consecutive League games for the Bantams.

At Deepdale he won a Division 3 Championship medal before signing for Rotherham United. After the Millers were relegated in 1973 he rejoined Bradford City and in his final season playing he was top scorer for the club.

He later managed Gainsborough Trinity and had spells with Matlock Town and Guiseley.

Bobby now owns a construction company and is now a Director at Bradford City.
