Jonathan joined City in September 2023, on a season-long loan from Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City.
The 6ft 4ins centre-back began his career in his home-nation, United States - spending time in FC Dallas and Solar SC’s academies.
During the 2019/20 season, the defender, born in 2002, moved to the Canaries, before signing his first professional contract at Carrow Road in January 2022.
In January 2023, Tomkinson, who has featured for USA’s U17s, joined Stevenage on loan, helping them achieve promotion into the third tier.
