SOUTHEND UNITED MATCH PREVIEW - EARLY TEAM NEWS

29 April 2016

The Bantams travel to Roots Hall this Saturday to play Southend United in their final away match of the regular league season.

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson confirmed on Thursday that City will need to check on the fitness of Lee Evans ahead of the game after the Welshman reported a minor knee injury earlier in the week.

Reece Burke is expected to be fit for the game after coming off towards the end of last weekend's win over Walsall with a slight hamstring problem.

Fellow West Ham United loanee Josh Cullen should be involved as well after coming through the Hammers' Barclays Premier League U21s Cup final first leg on Monday night unscathed.

Steven Davies remains suspended, meaning Reece Webb-Foster could be included in City's travelling party after the young striker scored four times in the reserves on Wednesday afternoon.

For opponents Southend, Shrimpers boss Phil Brown could turn to experienced striking duo Noel Hunt and David Mooney after the pair recently returned to full fitness.

Brown has hinted pre-match that centre half Piotr Malarczyk could be given his Southend debut following the Polish defender's loan move from Ipswich Town earlier this season.

Anthony Wordsworth, Myles Weston and Michael Timlin won't be available to Brown, however, due to injury.

City fans will be able to pay on the day at Roots Hall.

Match-day prices will be:

Adults: £24.00
Senior Citizens (Over 60s): £17.00
Students (Valid ID necessary): £16.00
Young Adults (17-20 years-old): £16.00
Juniors (Under 16s): £11.00
Under 8s: £5.00

Disabled tickets (plus a free carer's ticket) will cost £16.00 on match-day.

Bradford City FC has been asked to respond to a Football Association letter about a pitch incursion at Shrewsbury Town when City scored their goal.

Supporters are reminded that they should not enter the field of play or perimeter track at any time at either home or away games.

Entering the field is, of course, a criminal offence for the individual and could have serious consequences for Bradford City.
