Subject to receiving confirmation of the relevant paperwork being cleared, the football club can confirm that Ritchie Jones has now left the Coral Windows Stadium after agreeing to terminate his City contract by mutual consent.
Jones leaves Valley Parade having made ten appearances for the Bantams this season.
Bantams boss Phil Parkinson explained: "Ritchie recently expressed a desire to try and play more first-team football."
"Unable to promise that for him here, I didn't want to stand in his way in his search for more games.
"Ritchie leaves the football club with our best wishes."
As a free agent, Jones will still be able to move to another club outside the transfer window despite today's 11:00pm deadline for the January transfer window.
