With City's Emirates FA Cup second round tie against non-league Chesham United scheduled for next weekend, Parkinson's men will have to wait another fourteen days for their next match in Sky Bet League 1 at home to Southend United.
The Bantams go into Saturday's match at fourth-placed Walsall currently just inside the Play-Off places following Tuesday's draw with Coventry City - their tenth game unbeaten.
Parkinson wants City to do everything in their power at the weekend to ensure they can continue look over the league table with pride until the Southend fixture in a fortnight's time.
The City chief said: "I was pleased with the efforts on Tuesday but this Saturday is another big game for us - an important one.
"This weekend's game is so important because we go into a two-week break without a league game afterwards.
"We'll have a long time to look over the league table over those fourteen days and we know we'll need a great performance to help keep us in that top six.
"Walsall have played a similar sort of system and style over recent seasons so there should be no surprises for the lads.
"We should know what to expect and there will be no excuses because we'll be prepared for it."
Parkinson was able to name a strong bench for the midweek Coventry fixture, with the likes of Mark Marshall, Jordan Bowery, Devante Cole and Josh Morris all among City's substitutes for the game.
James Meredith is pushing to get back in the mix himself after a foot injury although Reece Burke, who penned an extension to his loan deal this week, is still ruled out following recent illness and injury.
Parkinson added: "The dilemma we have going into this Saturday's game - a good dilemma to have - is picking the right team that is really ready to go.
"We will have to go full throttle down there - we won't get away with any half measures. We will need everyone going flat out down there to get us a result.
"Myself and Steve (Parkin) will be looking over things during the next 48 hours to try and make sure we put the right people out there."
