Bantams boss Phil Parkinson believes City are heading in the right direction as time ticks down to the big kick off later this month
City made it four wins out of four in their pre-season schedule so far this summer with a convincing 4-0 victory over Blue Square Bet North side Guiseley AFC this Wednesday evening.
Parkinson's squad now face Bury on Saturday and then Bradford (Park Avenue) three days later before travelling to Notts County for their season-opener in the Capital One Cup.
The Guiseley victory for City not only kept up their 100% record in friendlies at present, it also meant Parkinson's squad have now scored a whopping seventeen goals and only conceded two during that period.
And with strikers Nahki Wells, James Hanson and Ross Hannah all featuring heavily among City's growing goal tally in pre-season, it is the Bantams' potency in front of goal which is giving Parkinson the most joy at the moment.
"Scoring goals is a great feeling to have and it's nice to have that confidence in our play that we look like scoring when we go forward," said Parkinson.
"Guiseley are a decent side and they did well in their league last season, plus you would expect them to be up for the game against one of their neighbours and being in front of a decent crowd.
"With all that in mind, we have to be pleased with the amount of goals we scored tonight and the quality of them too.
"I thought Nahki's headed goal (City's third on the night) in particular was very, very good. A great move and a fantastic finish.
"We could have even had some more (goals). We've had some decent chances in the first period and some towards the end as well.
"As a manager, you know that you need your side to put the ball in the back of the net to win games of football. We have been doing that well in recent games and that can only be an encouraging thing.
"We now have two difficult games ahead of us in Bury and Bradford (Park Avenue) before we go to Notts County.
"But apart from having to assess Ricky's problem (a suspected knee injury) it was a good night for us overall."
