PARKINSON EXPECTING 'ENTERTAINING GAME'

15 August 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says he believes this Saturday's encounter at Walsall has all the ingredients in place to be easy on the eye for fans of the beautiful game.

Fresh from their midweek success at Morecambe and the excitement of Wednesday's Capital One Cup second round draw, Parkinson's men return to League 1 action this weekend at Walsall - a side known for their patient passing style of play.

Aided by the arrival of a number of notable summer signings though, City have their own fair share of players who can causes problems to opposition defences with their technical ability.

With that in mind then, the Bantams chief feels Saturday's encounter at the Banks's Stadium could be one to enjoy.

Parkinson said: "Walsall have a similar style of play to last season.

"They obviously have had one or two come in and one or tow go out since then but they are still a very experienced League 1 team.

"They were right up there in the mix for the Play-Offs until the tail end of the season last year and they will be looking to push on again this year.

"With that in mind, this match represents a good challenge for us. We are still a new team in terms of the personnel we have currently in the side.

"We will have to set our stall out to be strong and committed first of all but I still think it will be an entertaining game.

"Both sides have good technical players and I am sure there will chances."
