WE NEED MORE OF THE SAME

19 September 2014

Following Tuesday's impressive victory at Milton Keynes Dons, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says he will be looking for a repeat performance from his side when they travel to Colchester United this Saturday.

A determined and disciplined defensive display from Parkinson's men at stadiummk during the week, coupled with some slick attacking play from the Bantams' forward players, ensured City picked up a pleasing win over an in-form MK Dons side.

With another away game now on the horizon for the Bantams this weekend, Parkinson is asking for the same effort and commitment from his players at Colchester's Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Parkinson said: "We will be demanding the same sort of committed performance from the lads this weekend.

"The players we have here are confident in their own ability. It is our job now to pick the right team physically to go again this Saturday.

"You can't afford to have anyone not at 100% during a game - we will need everyone working together and putting themselves on the line once again if we want to try and get the right result on Saturday.

"That means effort both off and on the ball.

"Great discipline off the ball means you get back into the right positions and make it harder for the opposition to play it through you.

"When we get the ball back, then that is the time to express yourself and play."
