PARKINSON KNOWS CITY WILL NEED THEIR FAN POWER AGAIN NEXT SEASON

3 June 2016

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson hopes City supporters can help to keep the 'feel-good factor' going around the Coral Windows Stadium for next season as the club looks to build towards the 2016/2017 campaign.

Following the success of last year's #onefournine campaign, the club have decided to once again stick with the same low prices for their season tickets and FlexiCards.

Over 18,000 fans took the club up on their fantastic offer last season, and those supporters were treated to an entertaining and encouraging campaign as Parkinson's men secured a Play-Off spot.

With Parkinson already aiming for greater things for the Bantams next season, the City chief knows the fans will have another vital role to play from the stands if the club wishes to push for promotion again.

Parkinson said: "It is a good start for the new owners to keep the season ticket prices the same because it clearly worked last year.

"To have over 18,000 season ticket holders says it all really. Picking up seven league wins on the trot at home towards the end of the season was a tremendous achievement and the atmosphere around the ground certainly played a part in that.

"If we are to continue to be successful and progress even further next season, our home form is going to be key once again.

"That support inside the ground is going to be so important.

"If we can match or improve on last year's season ticket sales then that will give us a huge boost towards our ultimate goal, which is promotion.

"There is a unique spirit around the ground and around the club at the moment, and I believe that is one of the things that attracted the new owners.

"They must be very excited to get started and it would be nice to see the city of Bradford really get behind them.

"All they (the fans) can do buy their season tickets and renew the ones they had and try to recreate the atmosphere we had last year.

"So many people comment on it - opposition managers, opposition supporters and members of the media - they all come and say how special the stadium is when the place is rocking."
