City's reward for defeating West Yorkshire neighbours Leeds United this Wednesday evening is a trip to fellow Sky Bet League 1 side Milton Keynes Dons in the Capital One Cup Third Round.

The draw for the competition's third round was made in the Sky Sports studio at the Coral Windows Stadium barely twenty minutes after City's televised dramatic come-from-behind victory over Leeds.

MK Dons, of course, booked their place in the hat for the draw by memorably thrashing Manchester United 4-0 on Tuesday.

Third round ties will take place the week commencing 22 September 2014.

Ironically, City are due to play at stadium:mk the Tuesday before (16 September 2014) in the league, meaning Phil Parkinson's side are now scheduled for two midweek trips down to play MK Dons within a week of each other.
