MITTONS HELP WITH THE TRAINING PITCH

9 July 2014

Long-term supporters of the club - Mitton Mechanical Services - have pitched in at the club's Apperley Bridge training ground to help provide a free water tank to aid preparations for Phil Parkinson's men this campaign.

Bradford-based company Mitton have provided the tank for nothing to ensure that the club's main practice pitch at Apperley Bridge remains in good shape for pre-season and beyond.

City's Director of Operations David Baldwin explained: "It's a massive tank which fills up through the night and it's able to provide much greater pressure than a normal sprinkler system.

"The demand for watering the pitch is obviously a lot greater this time of the year with the much drier weather. This is a massive help to make sure the grass doesn't die out."
