Cup final kit colours confirmed

31 January 2013

The football club can confirm to supporters City's complete match colours for their eagerly-anticipated Capital One Cup Final appearance against Swansea City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 24 February 2013.

After receiving useful feedback from fans, the club have decided to keep with their current hooped claret and amber home shirts for the cup final showpiece and not go with a one-off special design.

To go with City's usual hooped home shirts, Phil Parkinson's men will be wearing black shorts and black socks at the home of football (as seen in the picture above).

The reason for the change to black shorts and socks from white is because opponents Swansea - who have an all-white home kit for this season - have been determined as the 'home' side for the final following the toss earlier today.

It has also been confirmed this Thursday that match official Kevin Friend will referee the final.

The Leicestershire-based official has previously overseen the 2012 F.A Community Shield between Chelsea and Manchester City at the beginning of this season.
