The success of the club’s FlexiCard system resulted in supporters using the Northern Commercials Stand being delayed at the turnstiles at last Saturday’s home game (vs Barnet).
Everyone entered through the turnstiles before kick-off but there were queues on Midland Road in the build-up.
Therefore, the Club has today put out an appeal for supporters to arrive as early as possible for tonight’s (Tuesday) game vs Morecambe in order to help cut the queues.
The Club has committed itself to opening every available turnstile in that section and will continue with that policy in the future.
However, if supporters could arrive earlier at the stadium it would be appreciated and help to ease the flow of spectators into the stadium.
The Club is making this appeal at this time because it appreciates that people often have to arrive later for an evening kick-off.
A Club spokesman said today “We appreciate that fans have to arrive later for an evening game because they are travelling after work in rush-hour traffic; however, it is hoped that supporters can help themselves and help the Club by getting to the stadium that little bit earlier”. Turnstiles will open from 6.30pm for tonight’s game.
The Club also issued a reminder to FlexiCard holders in the banqueting suites that they must purchase their tickets for any game prior to gaining entry to the stadium. There is no facility for cash to be taken at the banqueting entrance, so their seat ticket must be reserved in advance by paying the appropriate admission price at the Ticket Office.
