Bradford City 2 (Hanson 42, Morais 78)
Kick Off: 3.00pm

Attendance 4,278 (1,301 visitors)

A goal in each half, including a first period opener from the recalled James Hanson, fired City to a Boxing Day away victory at Fleetwood Town - stretching the Bantams' unbeaten run to eight games in the process.

Hosts Fleetwood probably edged the opening period, with Stephen Dobbie enjoying more than one sight of goal for the Cod Army, but Hanson, who was brought back into the side for the injured Billy Clarke, swooped to head home from close range following Mark Yeates' testing far post cross three minutes before the break.

On his first start in nearly two months, Hanson's sixth goal of the season moved him back clear at the top of the City scoring stakes.

After a limited second half showing last time out against Scunthorpe United, Phil Parkinson's men made a better fist of it after the break this time around, taking the game to Fleetwood straight after the restart.

Fleetwood's Jamie Proctor struck the post with a strike from outside the box but it was City who looked the more likely scorers overall in the second half.

Hanson hit the post himself with a header later in the half before Parkinson's side ensured the points were heading back to Bradford with a second goal in the game barely seconds later.

In City's next attack after Hanson's header against the woodwork, Billy Knott cleverly left a Jon Stead low cross into the area to allow the unmarked Filipe Morais to crash home from close range.

The victory, which moves the Bantams up to fifth in the League 1 table, is the sixth on the road for City this season. It is also the club's sixth victory in their last eight games as City's impressive recent run of form continues.

FT: Fleetwood Town 0 Bradford City 2
90+1min: YELLOW CARD - Hitchcock is booked for catching Meredith on the halfway line right in front of the two teams' dug-outs.
90min: There will be four minutes of time added on at the end of the match.
88min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Francois Zoko for Stead.
87min: Stead and Maxwell race for the ball as it drops loose on the edge of Fleetwood's penalty area. Maxwell just beats Stead to the ball but his attempted clearance drops out into the path of Kennedy in City's midfield. With Maxwell still out of his goal, Kennedy fires first time with a strike from all of 40 yards that eventually strikes the top of Fleetwood's crossbar. Unknown to Kennedy, however, the linesman had already flagged for a foul after Stead was adjudged to have clipped Maxwell after the pair early clashed for the ball.
85min: Haughton's corner delivery following Evans' deflected drive over causes a minor scramble in City's penalty area and a couple Davies clearances are required before the Bantams can clear their lines.
85min: SUB - Fleetwood bring on Tom Hitchcock for Evans.
84min: Evans cuts inside from the right wing before firing left-footed from just outside the area that deflects up off Davies' head for a corner.
82min: YELLOW CARD - Stephen Jordan is booked for catching Stead as the striker turned away from him just inside Fleetwood's half of the pitch.
81min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Jason Kennedy for Yeates.
80min: Evans' cross into the area is pushed away by Pickford as far as the lurking Sarcevic, who fires over the bar with a first-time strike from the edge of the penalty area.
78min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fleetwood Town 0 Bradford City 2 - The Bantams have doubled their lead through Morais! Stead's pass across the area is deliberately left by Knott for the lurking Morais behind to fire in past Maxwell from close range.
77min: Knott's resulting free-kick delivery into the area is clipped into the path of Davies, who heads the ball back across goal for the unmarked Hanson. The striker powers a header forwards and sees his effort smack against the outside of Maxwell's near post.
77min: Yeates receives a spot of treatment after being the victim of a late challenge midway into Fleetwood's half.
75min: Yeates' searching cross into the area is missed by both Hanson and Maxwell, leaving the Fleetwood goal temporarily vacated as the ball drops to Knott's feet over by the far side of the box. The Bantams substitute tries to get the ball out of his feet and find a team-mate in the middle but his eventual pass across goal is cut out by a Fleetwood player.
73min: YELLOW CARD - McLaughlin is booked for catching Meredith late right in front of both dug-outs around the halfway line with a horribly rash challenge. The Bantams bench erupt following the tackle, presumably looking for a red for the Fleetwood right back, but referee Mr Sarginson takes his time over the decision and decides to only caution the Northern Irish international.
71min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Billy Knott for Halliday.
66min: Stephen Darby's hanging cross towards the far post is headed back across goal by Hanson towards Stead, who turns into shooting space before seeing his strike from around 12 yards out pushed away by Maxwell.
63min: Proctor has the beating of Pickford with a fine strike from outside the area but the left-footed drive bounces off the inside of the shot-stopper's far post and away.
60min: SUB - Fleetwood bring on Nick Haughton for Morris.
59min: Jeff Hughes fires for goal but his effort on the stretch from outside the area rolls wide of Pickford's far post.
55min: Yeates' cross into the area is headed wide of Maxwell's far post by a glancing header from Stead.
51min: James Meredith's searching cross into the area eventually drops to Morais over by the far side. He tries to keep his effort for goal down but his rising strike from just inside the box flashes over Maxwell's bar.
49min: Proctor tries to engineer himself some shooting space just outside the Bantams penalty area but his eventual shot sails harmlessly over Pickford's bar.
48min: After Morais' initial cross into the area deflects up, Maxwell races from his goal to try and claim the hanging ball. Morais just beats the shot-stopper to it, however, and proceeds to lift the ball into the middle. With Maxwell out of his net, Hanson tries to head towards the vacant goal but he can't get a clean connection on the ball due to the presence of a couple of Fleetwood defenders and the home side are eventually able to get the ball out of their box.
46min: Proctor feeds the ball into Evans but the former Bantams attacker's drive from outside the area flashes comfortably wide of Pickford's goal.
46min: Fleetwood restart the match.
HT: Fleetwood Town 0 Bradford City 1
45min: There will be two minutes added on at the end of the first half.
42min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fleetwood Town 0 Bradford City 1 - The Bantams have the lead! Yeates' hanging cross from the byline over towards the far post is met by the lurking Hanson, who heads home from close range past a helpless Maxwell.
39min: Yeates fires a free-kick from just outside the box into the Fleetwood wall.
39min: SUB - Fleetwood can finally bring on Crainey for Andrew
38min: With replacement Stephen Crainey not quite ready yet, Fleetwood are down to ten men temporarily as Andrew limps off.
35min: Sarcevic's near post cross finds Dobbie, who turns away from Davies before fizzing the ball across Pickford's goal. Luckily for City though, McArdle is perfectly placed in the middle to hack clear and cut out the danger.
33min: Sarcevic plays the ball out to Morris, who surges into City's penalty area. The midfielder has options in the middle but he elects to shoot instead of cross and his rising drive sails high and wide of Pickford's near post.
32min: Halliday plays Morais into good crossing space deep inside Fleetwood's penalty area. Just as the Portuguese midfielder looks to fizz the ball dangerously across Fleetwood's six yard box though, his touch lets him down and Andrew can dispossess him for a Bantams corner. From the resulting Yeates corner delivery, Davies gets his head on the ball but his effort drops comfortably wide of Maxwell's goal.
28min: Halliday tries his luck from outside the Fleetwood area but his hopeful drive sails high into the stand behind Maxwell's goal.
26min: Yeates' casual flick back towards his own goal, presumably looking for either Davies or McArdle, ends up unfortunately finding no-one in white, allowing Dobbie to latch onto the loose ball and run for go. The striker fires goalwards from around the edge of the area and his drive goes wide of Pickford's far post.
23min: Conor McLaughlin's pull-back inside City's area finds Dobbie and the striker's low angled drive from around 12 yards out rolls narrowly wide of Pickford's far post.
19min: With Halliday off the pitch, Andrew whips in a teasing centre from a wide free-kick into the Bantams box. The cross is flicked on by Proctor before Mark Roberts prods wide of Pickford's goal over by the far post around eight yards out. Halliday is allowed back on the pitch shortly afterwards.
17min: Andy Halliday is down receiving treatment from Head Physio Matt Barrass after seemingly taking a whack to the face while he tried to challenge Proctor for the ball midway into City's half of the pitch.
15min: Jamie Proctor feeds Dobbie into a pocket of space in behind the Bantams back-line, leaving him with only Pickford to beat around 20 yards from goal. Probably thinking he didn't have the pace to get into the City box without a challenge from a recovering Davies or Rory McArdle though, Dobbie elects to fire early and his low half-volley from the edge of the box bounces wide of Pickford's far post.
13min: Danny Andrew receives the ball from Stephen Dobbie before letting rip with a brilliant drive from distance that goes a mere whisker over Pickford's crossbar - that was close!
10min: Antoni Sarcevic sees a strike on goal from an indirect Fleetwood free-kick around 20 yards out blocked away before Josh Morris slashes the ball wide of Jordan Pickford's goal on the rebound with an effort from around the edge of the area.
9min: Mark Yeates turns away from the attentions of Gareth Evans but his rising strike from around 25 yards out sails over Chris Maxwell's crossbar.
4min: Andrew Davies' long ball forward picks out the run of the lurking Stead. The striker takes down the ball on his chest and fires a half-volley goalwards but his low drive midway into Fleetwood's penalty box is held by Maxwell.
3min: Jon Stead heads over from around six yards out following Filipe Morais' teasing cross into the middle.
0min: The Bantams kick off the match.
