New Doyle deal done

3 July 2013

Bantams midfielder Nathan Doyle has committed his immediate future to the football club by penning a new contract at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Doyle, who originally joined City on the eve of the club's historic 2012/2013 season back in August, has signed a new one-year deal with the Bantams to secure his place in Phil Parkinson's squad for the forthcoming campaign.

The midfielder's decision to sign a new deal comes less than twenty-four hours after team-mate Carl McHugh had signed his own new contract with the club.

Doyle's new deal also comes a day after City had secured the services of fellow midfielder Jason Kennedy on a free transfer from previous club Rochdale.

Parkinson said: "I am obviously delighted Nathan has signed on with us again for next season.

"He was a key performer in the side last season and he adds versatility and quality to the squad.

"Having joined us just before the very start of the season last year, the beauty is that this time around we have him in the building for the whole of pre-season.

"Hopefully that means we can get even more out of him this season."
