DISORDER NOT TOLERATED AT YORKSHIRE DERBY

17 April 2015

Sheffield United and Bradford City are advising fans intent on causing disorder at this weekend’s Sky Bet League 1 fixture at Bramall Lane that disruptive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

The teams are scheduled take to the pitch at 3:00pm and fans should expect to see a significant police presence in and around the ground in a bid to deliver an enjoyable and safe environment for all.

Any anti-social behaviour, drunk and disorderly conduct or violent disorder will be policed, swiftly and robustly. More than 20,000 supporters are expected to attend the game on Saturday, with around 2,500 City fans predicted to arrive in Sheffield.

City supporters are advised that the away turnstiles will be open from 1:00pm and refreshments will be available from that time.

The aim is to ensure that the game is an enjoyable experience for all who attend and not let the minority among the fans, who might have thoughts about spoiling the event, ruin what promises to be an exciting match.

Fans travelling to the game are advised to plan their route beforehand and leave plenty of time for travel as there will inevitably be an increase in traffic in the area.
