Davies was forced off in the Stevenage game due to the same neural problem that had troubled the centre half towards the end of last season.
It is an issue that stems from his back but can affect his calf. Crucially though, it is something that can be managed.
After looking into the problem this week in the build up to Saturday's trip to Brentford, City are confident Davies should be in fit enough shape to take on the Bees at Griffin Park.
Speaking about Davies, Parkin said: "It is a minor neural problem that forced him off last weekend.
"It is something that flared up a little bit last season for him as well.
"But we fully expect him to be fit, able and ready to play at the weekend."
Fellow centre half Rory McArdle could be set to partner Davies again after returning to England this Thursday following his substitute appearance for Northern Ireland on Wednesday evening.
McArdle picked up his seventh senior cap for Northern Ireland after coming on for the final ten minutes of their 0-0 friendly draw in Cyprus.
Parkin added: "It was lovely to see Rory get out on the pitch again (for Northern Ireland).
"He has had a good season for us and that has meant he has continued to be picked by Northern Ireland.
"We have spoke to him during the week and he has been training quite hard out there.
"He has had a good week and he'll be back with us Friday and ready for the game."
